  • Master Electrician and Journeyman Electrician positions are available. Active licenses are not required but the experience qualifications are necessary.

    Grid Electric is looking for motivated, team-oriented electricians to join our team. This is primarily day work and local. There is occasional weekend work, evening work, night work and overtime. Any weekend, evening or night work is always time and a half pay regardless of whether you have 40 hours or not.

    Minimum of 4 years electrical experience working for an Electrical Contractor required.

  • The foreman will be responsible for but not limited to, managing electrical installations and crews consisting of journeyman and apprentices electricians, specifically managing the productivity, safety, quality control, labor cost, scheduling, coordinating procurement of materials with company purchaser, and any other activities impacting the successful completion of the electrical project.     Requirements:

    ●      Must have (3) plus years experience as an electrical foreman

    ●      Must be able to work well with GC and all other trades

    ●      Must have knowledge of the National Electrical Code

    ●      Experience managing small to large electrical projects

    ●      Commercial electrical experience required

    ●      Must be able to work on voltages up to 480V

    ●      Bending RMC, IMC, and EMT conduit

    ●      Telecommunication and fire alarm experience is a plus

    ●      Experience running construction equipment is a plus

    ●      Troubleshooting electrical systems is a plus

    ●      Establish high performance, and quality standards along with project goals and monitor success in reaching those goals on an ongoing basis

    ●      Ensure the proper safety equipment and tools are on the site to perform the required work

    ●      Ensure the proper materials are on-site to perform the required work

    ●      Experience reading and interpreting electrical plans and specifications

    ●      Ability to conduct self in a professional manner and represent the company image under stressful situations

    ●      Must have a positive attitude

    ●      Have a valid driver's license

    ●      Must adhere to safety policy and procedures

    ●      Capable of working in a team environment

    ●      Must have own basic hand tools and cordless drill (all other tools provided by Grid)

    ●      Demonstrated leadership for project success

  • As the Electrical Assistant Project Manager, you will assist in the successful completion of all sizes and types of electrical projects and electrical service. Your duties will be to assist the Project Manager in the items below for the successful completion of all projects.

    ●      Effectively assist or manage the procurement of activities to maintain budget and project performance

    ●      Effectively manage day to day activities of the projects assigned to maximize efficiency and improve the project potential

    ●      Direct and supervise activities of each project

    ●      Ensure that all jobs are completed to the contract, plans and specifications

    ●      Manage, plan, and coordinate projects to optimize the use of labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, other costs and tools.

    ●      Secure subcontractors using standard subcontract agreements and scope leveling to maximize the buying potential and meet the performance requirements of the project

    ●      Manage and price any additional work or changes to the contract

    ●      Employ latest electrical codes, technology, techniques and practices

    ●      Follow all guidelines, policies and procedures established by the Company.

    ●      Promote a safe and injury-free work environment for each project

    ●      Attend jobsite meetings as required

    ●      Plan, schedule, and/or coordinate construction project activities to meet deadlines and maximize productivity internally with the company resources and externally with the general contractor/customer.

    ●      File and maximize progress billings for the assigned project(s)

    Background Items Required To Apply: Electrical Project Manager

    ●      Minimum of 4 years field experience in commercial electric or completion of a 4-year electrical apprenticeship program.

    ●      Results-oriented, competitive, customer service-oriented mindset

    ●      Good knowledge of electrical construction industry

    ●      Ability to work as a team with a positive attitude and professional customer service skills

    ●      Effective communication, troubleshooting skills

    ●      Proficient with MS Word and Excel

    ●      Proficient or some knowledge with Conest or other estimating program a plus

    ●      Valid driver's license

  • Estimator is responsible for evaluating project specifications and drawings, ensuring everything required is known to determine the cost and submit comprehensive proposals. Other responsibilities below but not limited to:

    ●      Review plans, specifications, drawings to determine the cost of the project

    ●      Analyze time, material and manpower requirements for each project

    ●      Perform takeoffs and develop a written estimate of cost to perform the work according to the specifications

    ●      Provide the Manager with a detailed cost estimate, corresponding proposal letter and bid form breakout to turn over ownership of the project

    ●      Interface with vendors and subcontractors to determine the cost of the project and gain the best pricing

    ●      Exercise significant independent discretion in developing project estimates and applying “markup” and “labor factors”

    ●      Attend pre-bid meetings as required

    ●      Analyze special safety and code requirements on all projects

    ●      Work as part of an integrated team in acquiring projects

    ●      Demonstrate Grid's Values of Safety, Respect, Team Orientation and Humility

    ●      Other duties as assigned by manager/supervisor

    Technical skills & attributes required:

    ●      Self-motivated, works well independently and possess strong communication and computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Electrical Bid Manager or like Professional Electrical Estimating Software)

    ●      Minimum of 5 years of commercial electrical field experience while working for an electrical contractor

    ●      Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar position
